The Young Adult Portuguese Society (YAPS) is affiliated with the South African Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (SAPCC) with each YAPS member being a SAPCC Youth Member and having free access to all SAPCC events.
In June 2023, the SAPCC was awarded the Order of Merit from the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo De Sousa, in recognition of the SAPCC’s contribution to the promotion of trade between Portugal and South Africa and its contribution to uniting the Portuguese and Luso-South African entrepreneurial community.
We also hold affiliations with the Portuguese Forum South Africa and the Academia do Bacalhau.

Membership is just a a once off fee of R100.
We are a group of young inspiring professionals and entrepreneurs in South Africa with Portuguese heritage that host various events for our communities based across South Africa.
Learn Portuguese
Isabel de Gouveia assists our members with affordable lessons: Beginners: 1 hr on Saturday @11am, Lessons cost R130 per hour.
